Einmusik

10 Years beetween studio and club, between aiport halls, cold tea and afterpartys. 10 Years dusty shoes and endorphin after one of those gigs under the burning sun. 10 Years draging cases and hotel life. Einmusik is an electronic musician, who took the ladder step by step. Hard work, dreamly breaks, hard disks full of ideas and the mind full of inspiring moments made him a well known producer & Live-Act over the time.

Trilha sonora de uma jornada de amor

por   /  05/09/2014  /  12:12

Karen O 3

1 clipe novo do Christopher Owens, ex-Girls

por   /  10/07/2014  /  15:15

chrisowens

Yeah, it’s a relationship I can’t place a value on. We’re very different people: in upbringing, in habits, in the way we both cook, the books we read, the music we like. Maybe I see something in her that I think is wonderful and wish I could’ve been like that myself. At the same time, I don’t. I’m not a person with regrets. But I can definitely see the benefit of having somebody like that in my life. I mean, I could’ve had somebody more like myself in my life for this period of time and been pushed along down my own paths, my own devices—if that was the case, Father, Son, Holy Ghost might not have even come out. From the beginning, she has kept me aware without judging, without ever saying, “This is an ultimatum,” or, “You have by this date…” She’s never even been rude to me about it when my priorities were completely out of whack. From the beginning, we liked each other for who we were, and it’s always been that way. As time goes by, we’ll remain different people, but we’ll remain essential to one another.

Eles usam a tag #motel pra descrever as músicas “Um Totem do Amor Impossível” e “Só no Masoquismo”. E vai bem por aí mesmo, viu? Uma delícia!

2 clipes pra hoje: Metronomy e Lee Ranaldo

“A movie of a song in a dream of a movie.” Directed by Fred Riedel, the basic concept plays off particular images of the Velvet Underground as filmed by Andy Warhol in the late 60s, casually rehearsing at the Factory, performing (as The Exploding Plastic Inevitable) on St Marks Place with projections and dancers, and even Warhol’s famous ‘Screen Tests’. The character of “The Projectionist” is played by legendary NYC avant-garde filmmaker Ken Jacobs (with whom both myself and Fred studied back in the 70s). Among the dancers can be spotted former SY drummer Bob Bert. Longtime SY associate, director David Markey, is among those behind the camera on this piece. Shot at Sonic Youth studio Echo Canyon West as well as at live gigs in New York City and Los Angeles.

“Build a good name. Keep your name clean. Don’t make compromises, don’t worry about making a bunch of money or being successful. Be concerned about doing good work. Protect your work and if you build a good name, eventually that name will be its own currency. Life is like a roller coaster ride, it is never going to be perfect. It is going to have perfect moments and rough spots, but it’s all worth it.”

Patti Smith gave me life-saving advice. She told me: “It’s your responsibility as an artist to stand up if you believe in something.” I was overwhelmed by that. At the time I was just trying to keep myself alive and stop myself jumping out of windows

We wouldn’t have art and music if we all saw things the same. I’ve spent a lot of my life not fitting in. As a culture we forget that we are very different to each other.

I used to lie about what I did. When a cab driver would ask me what I did for a living I’d say: “I’m a writer.” I never thought I was a “good artist”, like people are “good bartenders” or “good cleaning ladies” with efficiency and a work ethic. I didn’t believe in myself.

I’ve looked death in the eye. The day after Sun [her 2012 album] came out I was in hospital with angioedema [a stress-induced and potentially fatal swelling in the body]. They told me they were going to put me in a coma to save my lungs. My friend came to visit and told me I’d made the Billboard Top 10 and all I could think was: “I don’t want to die.”

Songs can be destructive but helpful. Lyrics come from different places. Sometimes they come from a need, hope, memories or dreams, and sometimes they just come for no reason, from nowhere.

Everywhere I’ve been, I’ve seen the same type of people. It doesn’t matter what language you speak or if you can drive a car or not. We all generally want the same thing: clean water, shelter and security for our families.
